POUR PAINTINGS
Before graphic design, there was paint.
Self Taught Acrylic Pour Artist • Creating Original Artwork Since 2019
I create acrylic pour paintings inspired by color, movement, and nature. As a self-taught artist, I enjoy balancing control with unpredictability, allowing paint to flow naturally and create unique cells, textures, and layers. One of my favorite techniques is using a blow torch to create intricate details that make every piece one of a kind.
Many of my color palettes are inspired by farmers market flowers and the unexpected combinations found in nature. The layers and cells within each painting create an "I Spy" experience. Similar to finding shapes in the clouds, viewers often discover hidden images in the paint - a horse, mermaid, octopus, dragon, or something entirely their own. No two people see the exact same thing, which is part of what makes each piece unique.
My work has been featured at Art-A-Whirl, the St. Paul Art Crawl, private art events, and Daily Dose Coffee Shop, where my artwork was displayed for over four years. I've also created commissioned pieces for residential and commercial clients throughout Minnesota and as far away as La Jolla, California.
My gallery, Key to Life Gallerie, is built on the belief that the key to life is happiness. I hope each painting shares a little of that joy with the people who experience it.
